I have a pretty standard home network setup. Cable modem attached to wireless router (Linksys), two computers wired to the router, SB3 wirelessly connected to the router.
I've done the port forwarding so that I can reach my home SlimServer on one of the machines from the outside world. This works fine. The other machine is a new Intel iMac and I'm running SS 6.5b1 on it to help test. In the SlimServer on the iMac, using the Server Settings/Network I changed the Web Server Port to 9500 and opened 9500 in the firewall and port-forwarded it to the iMac in the router. I can now reach the iMac's SlimServer web page from the outside world. However, the MP3 stream still appears to be listening/broadcasting on port 9000. I can't connect to the MP3 stream using port 9500, and the web interface says to connect to http://localhost:9000/stream.mp3. Shouldn't the MP3 stream follow the web interface? - Jasen. -- jasenj1 ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jasenj1's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=3466 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=20686 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
