It's been a while, so I thought I'd check in. While I am able to avoid the CPU problem if I make certain the SlimServer is not running while I update podcasts, this isn't a solution. It is inconvenient and time consuming to have to restart the server. And should I forget to do so, the computer (a Mac Mini) grinds to a halt. The problem is so severe that it's difficult to move the mouse - it's often easier to restart the machine rather than attempt to kill the process.
I'm a big fan of Slim Devices and a proud owner of the original SlimP3.
