Hi James,

I changed several things:

1. Instead of blocking the slimserver process while importing the tags for 25 files at a time, we import a single file at a time. This means that the process should give more time to the web interface and the player user interface, making both of them much more responsive. This won't be any faster or use less CPU power, but it will make the impact of the rescan less obvious to the user especially if the files are on a slower disk or a remote volume.

2. The code that finds the iTunes Music Library.xml file and detects when changes occurs has been cleaned up and should work for more people.

3. Several cases where partial scans could cause songs and playlists to not appear have also been fixed.

4. iTunes was often not enabled by default, so many folks would have to manually turn on iTunes importing.

Please do reopen bugs that are not fixed for you and file new bugs that you've discovered. Please also include details about your setup if you haven't already.
