I've been pulling my hair out over problems with Slimserver either: not seeing iTunes songs (esp playlists), or playlists titles listing properly but the lists themselves are blank entirely (yet a large song database is found) or Slimserver staying stuck at "Slimserver is starting"
I've reinstalled and uninstalled, rebooting between, deleting the whole directory, and so far have had some success. I now have a workable installation but I'm noticing different numbers of detected songs. I'm using iTunes on WinXP Pro. iTunes: 2657 songs SS v6.2.1 (release ): 543 albums/2648 songs/743 artists* SS v6.2.2 (04/04/06): 531 albums/2648 songs/739 artists* SS v6.5b1 (6764): 512 albums/2324 songs/702 artists** *no playlists or empty playlists ** working playlists I'm using iTunes and have the radio button selected, the entries for playlist and music library blank, and the current itunes XML and directory properly set. I'm scared to try any updates since this is what broke things in the first place. Is there a way to preserve your current setup (can I copy the directory?)
