I've been attempting to debug a frustrating issue but I haven't had any luck, so I'm hoping someone may have an idea as to what's going on.
I've had a SLIMP3 hooked up to an old 802.11b Linksys WET11 wireless bridge since the Slimserver 4.0 days and it has been working flawlessly for years. Now starting with the SlimServer_6_2_x_v2006-03-30 nightly build, the WET11 will hang after some period of usage. This is seemingly random, but always within 24 hours. This requires a power cycle of the WET11 to recover (the SLIMP3 itself seems fine after cycling the WET11). I had been previously running with SlimServer_6_2_x_v2006-03-23 for a week without trouble. I've been trying nightlies up to 04-03 that result in the same WET11 hang. What's confusing is that there doesn't seem to be any changes between 2006-03-23 and 03-30 that might affect actual network packets: /Firmware/squeezebox2.version /Firmware/squeezebox2_35.bin /IR/Default.map /Plugins/Health/Plugin.pm /SQL/SQLite/dbcreate.sql /SQL/SQLite/sql.version /Slim/DataStores/DBI/DBIStore.pm /Slim/Utils/Scan.pm /revision.txt /Firmware/squeezebox2_36.bin I'm running the server on Debian sarge, and the wireless base station is a WRT54Gv4 in mixed mode. Any clues? I'm stumped with this one. I haven't changed my hardware setup for about a year now. The only variable seems to be slimserver version. -- jth ------------------------------------------------------------------------ jth's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=48 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=22771 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
