And some feedback from me: I use my PC for general web/email/word processing, as well as a Slimserver server. Running Slimserver with high priority has no adverse effects in normal use, but when I rescan my (large) library, the PC is practically unusable for a couple of hours while while the scan is in progress.
Once the split-scanner code is merged to the trunk, would it be possible for the scanner process to run at normal priority, even though the SlimServer process is running at high priority??
