Ok, this is where the confusion starts! I have gone into manage->Services and Applications->Services and brought up the properties on service 'slimserver'.
On the 'Log On' tab I select 'This account' and browse. My account is 'Des'. So I type 'des' into the selection panel and hit 'Check Names', the name is expanded to 'KING\Des', KING is my computer name. Hit 'ok'. Back on the Log on tab, the account name is now '.\Des'. However, it also wants a password! I don't have a password. I have several user accounts on an XP Pro SP2 using fast user switching.
