I'm not sure what you're talking about when you say that "browse music folder" has been removed. It's there alright! On my SB2 I go to Browse Music -> Browse Music Folder -> ... to see all my music. You can also go into the Slim Server web page, go to the player settings, and to the "Menus" category. There you can actually add "Browse Music Folder" directly to the home menu of your player.
