I've managed to install the May 1 nightly of 6.3.0 on OS X and get it working. The hang up is that Net::IP and File::Slurp are missing. I used the CPAN shell to install them, and everything works great now. Holy cow does ShoutCAST have a lot of streams in the new API.
Anyway, I'd suggest packaging Net/IP.pm and File/Slurp.pm with the 6.3.x builds since OS X (10.4.6) doesn't seem to have it out of the box.
