I had suspected the Genre filtering and given it a go with both All
genres checked and No genres checked (on the theory that the code would
go about things differently in these cases) but it didn't seem to make
enough of a difference to matter for Sync play.
I've put up a bug for the specific case of RandomMix interacting with
Sync play, along with some ideas on fixes. One theory: a change in
timing might do the trick.
