For future reference, a great way of finding this kind of thing out (on Windows) is to use the excellent, free Process Explorer from SysInternals: http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/processexplorer.html Open it up, and use the Find menu, this will allow you to find which processes have a given handle/file open. You can then of course kill the process (only potential problem is if the culprit is Explorer.exe, which will probably call for a reboot...)
