6.5b1 06/11 Nightly fails to play Flac files.
The first couple lines from the log read
DBI connect('hostname=127.0.0.1;port=9092','',...) failed: Can't
connect to MySQL server on '127.0.0.1' (10061) at
/PerlApp/Slim/Utils/MySQLHelper.pm line 324
Use of uninitialized value in hash element at
/PerlApp/Slim/Networking/Select.pm line 147
I've seen this error in the log in previous releases, even after I
punched holes in my Firewall for ports 9092 and 10061. With this error
the server started and Flac files played fine, except that I could not
fast-forward or rewind to the next song or within a flac file. I could
fast forward to the next song when playing the albums that are made up
of WMA files. The last line about the uninitialized value in line 147
keept repeating in the log.
With today's nightly besides the above errors I get the following in
the log after trying to play a flac or wma files.
ERROR: openSong: [file:///D:/Digital%20Music/Playlists/remotetest.m3u]
Unrecognized type m3u!
ERROR: openSong:
[file:///D:/Digital%20Music/Latin/F%E9lix%20Baloy%20y%20su%20Cuban%20Son%20All%20Stars/Un%20Poquito%20De%20F%E9/F%E9lix%20Baloy%20y%20su%20Cuban%20Son%20All%20Stars%20-%20Un%20Poquito%20De%20F%E9.m3u]
Unrecognized type ssp!
Malformed UTF-8 character (unexpected end of string) at
/PerlApp/Slim/Music/TitleFormatter.pm line 474.
I tried clearing and rescanning, but it does not solve the problem. I
can not play Flac or WMA files.
The SqueezeBox displays the following: Playing Shuffled From
Name-Of-Song for a few seconds then displays the following message:
Problem can't open file for remotest. Them the Slimserver restarts.
I'm afraid that the error might be related to characters that are
either in the name of the flac/wma files or in the tags of the name of
the songs. There are accents and letter that are not in english
language.
Not Complaning about the nightly, just reporting what I'm experiencing.
