I was running a 6.2.2 install ok and updated to 6.3 build from end of
last week - ran it as a service to start with on XP but it hung with
'slimserver starting' for a long long time (over 2 days). I actually
left it running because my library takes that long to index most times.
Anyway gave up and totally uninstalled and then deleted SlimServer
folder even and reinstalled using the.exe and latest version (7895) -
and now I don't seem to be able to index my Windows shares at all. So I
changed the library & playlist location to C:\music with one track and
one share shortcut and it still doesn't index it. What it does seem to
index however is my "Desktop" which is most strange
Also - as my indexes take so long I used to use the
Settings>Information>Library Statistics>Total Tracks display to check
things were still happening - it used to update in realtime. But now I
think it only updates on entry to the sub menu. Was this intentional
and if so it's a real shame as I used it a lot.
