If your 6.5 installation is pre-merge there's no reason to upgrade yet. There's a real good chance you won't be able to get it running, and when you do, a lot of things that had been working well will be broken or unimplemented.
Sit back and enjoy your music for a couple more weeks until they get the major lumps pounded out.
