Any thought on why I'm getting a 'data too long message'? The title field is of type text, so I'd guess that the complaint about the data being too long is spurious, and the problem is caused by the wide characters in the title. SlimServer v6.5 R7937 reports the system charset as cp1251, although the tables that have been created are in utf8. The two characters prior to the ' = 84' are U+1D15E and U+1D16D.
All char data is converted to UTF-8 on the way into SlimServer. Can you send me the file that's causing this?
