I've been updating to SVN latest frequently, and found it okay for general use.

There are some caveats:

1. Scanning hasn't picked up my WMA files. Dan believes this is fixed now, but
due to a recent scanning issue preventing music from scanning through shortcuts
(Dan is fixing now), I haven't been able to test.

2. Various Artists detection hasn't been great.

3. Can't always drill down through heirarchy correctly - this is improving
every day though. Eg. Browse Artists -> [artist] -> No Album -> lists all
songs with no album tag (not just the artist you select).

4. Some plugins don't function correctly; most report warnings about their use
of depricated methods. LastFM doesn't report song info (but with a bit of
effort you can get it to play streams). Lazy Search doesn't work.

You can either allow SlimServer to create its own MySQL instance, or follow the
Wiki instructions to create your own. I am running my own instance, although
I'm not sure slimserver updates the schema, so to be sure I sometimes delete
the database and recreate.

I think it requires v5.1 or greater.
