Dan, When running a scheduled rescan, I see a similar problem. My squeezebox is off, on datetime screensaved. When the rescan starts, the player displays a message 'rescanning library' for about 2 minutes. Then the display changes to the head of the main menu for about 2 minutes. The player is completely unresponsive for this time. Then the date-time screensaver starts again and all key-presses issued during the lockup take effect!
