The processor in the Squeezebox (Ubicom IP2000 series) is an 8-bit
microcontroller; it has nowhere near the performance of a 32-bit ARM
core (in the Sigmatel chip), and even the ARM is substantially slower
than a modern superscalar processor like the Pentium.

MHz isn't everything. :)
