well, since the sorting pref was added in, yes. if you are referring
to the "split-scanner" merge, there was no functional sort order pref
at that time.
split-scanner is a bit misleading, as it was more than just a separated
scanner. it was also a removal of the old datastores lists and the
appearance of the new Schema methods. Then, more recently we've had the
'shocker' merge which introduces new display handling code more in line
with the needs of the Transporters' second display. The sort order
pref was restored somewhere in all of that, and apparently doesn't
include a simple way of manipulating the anchors. It will come. Until
it does, plenty of other tasks to dig into.
