The latest binary of SoftSqueeze for Mac OS X appears to be 2.3
(although when you do an About... it describes itself as 2.0).

This version while (obviously) written in Java comes with a PowerPC
installer and a PowerPC launcher but still works perfectly happily on
the new Intel Macs. However it offends my sensibilities somewhat
running any none Universal code on my Intel Mac so my first request
would be for the installer and launcher to both be updated to Universal
Binaries. Who knows, at some point Apple may do something that makes
this necessary anyway.

Note: the above seems to apply to both the standalone SoftSqueeze 2.3
installer and the version built-in to SlimServer (for Mac OS X).

On a different topic, I currently have two SlimServers one currently
running 6.2.2 and the other 6.3. When I connected to the 6.3 one I got
a message I had never seen before saying SoftSqueeze (2.3) is optimised
for SlimServer 6.2 and that I should download a newer version of
SoftSqueeze to use with SlimServer 6.3, except as far as I can see
there is no newer version available for Mac OS X!

So it would seem its time for a new binary to be issued for Mac OS X
especially with SlimServer 6.5 on the horizon.

Finally, how do I get SoftSqueeze for Mac to work with mms: Internet
Radio streams?
