Is SlimServer idle during this time? Or are you planing music? Remote or local?
In my case the figures quoted are for a newly started slimserver process, which is as idle as I can make it - scanner not running, no music playing, no softsqueezes running and the squeezebox2 in "off" mode, though still powered.
