Chris, Upon reading the good news of jodrell's success, I downloaded and installed the most recent nightly build 8-8-06. I re-installed 6.5b1 and did a factory reset on my SB3. [Power and + key]
But no joy on being able to do a firmware update. I get the same error message. update_begin: bad state". I have also tried holding down the power button and then the 1 key, which produces a "reprogramming xilinx" message.
