I'm running 6.5b on a KuroBox with 128MB RAM and a 266Mhz processor. I had some problems, but only when running Random Play while transcoding, and then fixed them by enabling the option to fork the audio stream process.
I don't think it's taking much more RAM (I was using 6.3 with MySQL as well). My SlimServer process is at 40MB right now. MySQL is at 16MB. 6.3 often had 50-60MB in the SlimServer process. So for me it's good. Performance and responsiveness is about the same--I think it's a little better, and I was going to try and fork the webserver process too to see how that affects it. Of course, my Linux PPC experience doesn't necessarily correlate to the experience on Windows, but it's another data point. -- mrfantasy --Mike ------------------------------------------------------------------------ mrfantasy's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=1127 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=27130 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
