I decided I was being penny wise and pound foolish. If I could get reasonable sync with an all Slim Devices solution, then I should pay my dues and put a Squeezebox in circuit, instead of the Soundbridge.
Recognizing that the Mac Java has that buffering issue, I expect I would not get sync perfect, and indeed I don't. Alas, with: Squeezebox over 802.11G in living room. Softsqueeze running on G4 Powerbook. Slim Server running on G4 desktop. They are still ONE SECOND apart. Perhaps they will resync at the beginning of the next song?
