Richard, Just as an FYI, I added a comment to bug 2346 http://bugs.slimdevices.com/show_bug.cgi?id=2346 relating to stuttering at the start of tacks since about Softsqueeze version 3.
I had originally thought that 3.2 fixed this, but the issue is stil there.
