Thanks Michael - I am familiar with regedit, murked around with it
before I posted my question, but didn't know about the must-have double
quotes. I tried the suggestion, in my case my ImagePath string looks
like this:

"C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\slim.exe" --noupnp --logfile
"C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\slimlog.txt" --d_server
--d_plugins

It looks like it applied the --noupnp option, however the logging does
not work - I cannot find a slimlog.txt file on the whole machine.
I even changed the ImagePath to

"C:\Program Files\SlimServer\server\slim.exe" --noupnp --d_server
--d_plugins --logfile C:\slimlog.txt

with no success.

The --noupnp option is most important, so I am happy for the help you
guys provided.
