I've been keeping an up to date SVN of 7.0 and from time to time play
around in the web interface and with the scanning. I don't use the
server for listening, instead I have an SVN of 6.5.1 for that.

The scan progress bar is awesome. Actually, the bar is just eye candy
and probably the least useful part of it... just being able to track
the progress of a scan is the great part.

I'm hoping there's also going to be a bit of scan history kept so that
you can at least look up the previous scan time to gauge how long the
next one might take. Right now the total time is only seen on the
detail page, and if you're not actually on that page when the scan
completes then you have no way to see the total time.

I also notice that there's a stage of the scan _prior_ to the directory
scan in which all the files in the library are counted (and I assume)
cataloged in memory. On a fast system this takes less than a minute,
but on a slow one this stage can easily take 10-15 minutes. This is
the time period at the beginning of the scan in which no bar is
displayed and no detail page is available. I think the scan progress
should indicate that this phase going on (and time it), even if it
can't produce a progress bar until it knows how many files exist. The
total scan time should be from the moment the 'scan' button is pressed
until the 'Done' message is displayed.

With regard to plugin settings - I know it's a WIP, but I hope it's not
planned to keep the current method of populating the Server Settings
drop-down with links to every plugin settings page. The drop-down
could get extremely long and make finding anything difficult. If
that's a temporary solution while the rest of the interface is worked
out, just disregard.
