I've just rebuilt my server using ubuntu edgy and I'm having a problem
with the web UI, which never refreshes the lower section of the player
pane - I've tried using both fishbone & default skins.
I initially installed 6.5.0 from the debian despositry, and although it
isn't anywhere near as straightforward as the rpm, I managed to get that
to work eventually.
I then installed subversion, pulled the 6.5 branch into /usr/share,
stopped slimserver and made a /usr/share/slimserver softlink to the 6.5
branch. This is how I had it working on an FC based machine, although
the install directory on FC seems to be /usr/local rather than
/usr/share.
I initially had a number of problems which seemed to be cured by
killing a couple of slimserver (mysql?) processes that weren't stopped
by '/etc/init.d/slimserver stop' - but it's now working. Except for
this web UI problem ...
