Well, I turned SDT back on but left the Wunderground box empty, and listened to some tunes, and then left it for a while and there is no blow up of memory use. MemUsage at 83120 and VM Size at 77856 and steady throughout.
So I guess it is wunderground. But perhaps it is only for certain channels, as I haven't tried any different ones to be sure at this point. But I can live without wunderground for sure.
