Instead of unplugging all the time, try to press+hold the power button on the remote -> same effect. Its a little bit less cumbersome as re-plugging the wire all the time.
I guess you're referring to the S/PDIF inputs? I use these on a regular basis, or at least, I try to use them. Once I get them to work, it works great.
