I am running a recent nightly 7.0 on my Windows desktop with a SB3 right now. For me, it's been very stable listening to music. However, because of a bug I need to manually start it up when I boot up my system.
I personally switch back and forth between 6.5.x and 7.0 quite often -- sometimes 2 or 3 times a day. I don't have to rescan my 1100 song database at all when I do this. I'm not familiar too much with various plugins for 7.0. I'm sure someone knows the status of AlienBBC, but it's not me. SlimServer 7.0 is not going beta today. It's all coming together right now. As a result, changes are being made to SlimServer 7.0 daily. The rate of change may slow down soon, but I wouldn't count on it for awhile. We're still working on it -- especially the new UI which is looking very cool so far. I'll update everyone on the forums when I have a new schedule.
