OK with over 600 views I'm a little stunned that no one else has experienced this... (!)
That said, I am still a little vague as to how Slimserver handles the transcoding of Apple's .m4a files over the home network, as all file formats seem to have a mov123 in the name of its target file. Regardless of whether I transcode Apple AAC to AIFF, FLAC, or MP3 I experience stuttering audio. I have eliminated a possible network congestion problem as my FLAC, WAV, and other large formats stream just fine uninterrupted. Therefore, I am assuming this is a transcoding problem with Slimserver.
