I've done so (complete deinstall of "Image Toolbar" and "Image Zoom"
extensions. Unfortunately no success. The strange style that you
pointed out has vanished but the behaviour still remains the same.
Maybe one additional hint from my experience with this: it only seems
to happen when a gallery page is opened for the first time after
starting the browser. At that point some of the items also do slight
shifts to the left or right (just some pixels) as if the total
dimensions of the element that's surrounding the gallery are
re-calculated and then the vertical shifts appears. After going to
another letter in the gallery list and coming back to the original one
again, this is layed out as intended and stays fixed for the rest of
the session.
Anyway, as you pointed out it seems to be a special problem on my side
so please forget it for the moment. Later today I will try to deinstall
all extensions one after one and see if there is some point where the
error doesn't appear anymore. Than you have at least some
"documentation" about one specific Firefox extension making trouble
;-)
Thanks for your efforts!
Sebastian
