Here is the change log:
http://flac.cvs.sourceforge.net/*checkout*/flac/flac/doc/html/changelog.html
Since version 1.1.3, I've been having slimserver transcoding flac to
flac using a modified convert.conf:
flc flc transcode *
[flac] -c --totally-silent --compression-level-0 --skip=$START$
--until=$END$ $FILE$
This allows for the transcoding to take place in a single process,
rather than being piped through two, as is the case with the stock
convert.conf.
I understand that this will fail, with past flac versions, if a flac
file contained IDV2 tags in addition to the sanctioned vorbis comment
tags. Do I have that right?
How would I go about creating a flac file with IDV2 tags so as to test
whether or not this new version of FLAC is forgiving in this situation?
What tagging tool will graft an IDV2 tag onto a flac? None of the
tagging tools I regularly use will.
