SqueezeCenter? I'm not a fan of that name at all. Sounds like a name one would use for a VB GUI to some command line archiver.
It would have been fun if there had been a poll on the forums for this; but then the forums aren't as qualified as a marketing department. What were some of the other alternatives you must have been floating around? <Reading Too Far Into The Name Change> To me this new name says that the Squeezebox will have a greater focus than the Transporter in the direction Logitech takes things. They're planning to really target the general masses who would have found anything with "Server" in it a bit scary but will likely welcome "Center" as that's what everyone (Microsoft) is beginning to call media servers. It's another nail in the coffin of the "Slim Devices" name. Also, it makes it sound like there are bigger plans of turning it into more of an iTunes like program which is capable of ripping and tagging as well as serving.
