After trying out SS/SC7 a bit on both sides of my dual-boot laptop (WinXP and Ubuntu 7.04/Feisty), I decided to venture into trying to install it on my "production" slimserver box, which is a LinkStation HG NAS running a stripped down version of debian.
The Linkstation has a PPC processor, and as far as I know SD stopped doing .deb packages for this architecture. Certainly my attempts to install via apt-get went nowhere, so I reverted to the tarball. I had to install a few extra perl modules, but I'm still not there yet. When I type "sudo ./slimserver I get: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:/usr/local/slimserver$ ./slimserver.pl Can't locate File/Slurp.pm in @INC (@INC contains: /usr/share/slimserver/lib /mnt/usr/local/slimserver /etc/perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.8 /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.8 /usr/lib/perl5 /usr/share/perl5 /usr/lib/perl/5.8 /usr/share/perl/5.8 /usr/local/lib/site_perl /usr/local/lib/perl/5.8.4 /usr/local/share/perl/5.8.4 .) at ./slimserver.pl line 97. BEGIN failed--compilation aborted at ./slimserver.pl line 97. Any ideas on how to solve this, or more general advice for installing in this environment? Many thanks. -- aubuti ------------------------------------------------------------------------ aubuti's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=2074 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=38823 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/lists/listinfo/beta
