Usually, stuttering can be from one of two sources

1. The BBC not serving data fast enough or network errors.  Usually
with RealAudio the bad data stream  sounds as short gaps or fragments
of audio repeated / garbled.  This will happen on live feeds and only
very rarely on "Listen Agaain" so if you haven't tested a "Listen
Again" stream do so.

2. Problem in Slimserver and transcoding - processor is not powerful
enough to decode and re-encode the stream into Flac/ MP3.  You can test
this by playing a "Listen Again" stream or a RealAudio file. 

Be careful with your tests to make sure that BBC 6 is in RealAudio and
not WMA otherwise you are not comparing like with like (unless you are
playing to a device which doesn't support WMA)
