There's no need for one if you have the drop down menu. Fishbone never had a "Home" page. I don't quite understand your comment about the extra mouse click and the cluttered left pane. IMO the navigation in fishbone is faster because you don't have to go back to the home page when you switch from one browse view to another (eg. albums to artists). While in one view you just select the new view from the drop-down menu and it takes you right there. The "Home" link always takes you back to the starting state of the selected view. Other than the drop-down menu (which takes very little space) there's nothing else that you wouldn't have in the left pane in other skins.
