After the installation (under SqueezeCenter - Settings - Extras) I disabled "iTunes integration", "Access to the Live Music Archive" and "Access to Podcasts" and then did an upgrade to v2007-10-31 and now they are still disabled. Previously they were enabled after an upgrade. Sorry for any inconvenience I may have caused.
