Hi

not sure if this is a bug, not sure if its new to 7.0 ... but I'm
puzzled and hope someone can help. I'm testing 7.0 (10-30 nightly) and
wanted to connect to the full library on another machine (my production
slimserver).

I'm running on Win XP SP2 on both machines, and I used the new
installer and gave it my login details to be able to start the
service.

If I tell SC7 that the music library is at, say,
\\192.168.1.20\musiclib\flac then it works fine, no problem at all.

But I actually have two directories there: musiclib\flac and
musiclib\legacy. On the production box, where this is a local disc,
its easy: I have a folder with two shortcuts pointing to each of these,
SC7 reads through the shortcuts and all is well.

But I can't find a way to get this to work when I'm coming across the
network. If I point SC7 at the folder containing shortcuts on the
remote share, it won't read through the shortcuts. Similarly if I
create a local folder containing shortcuts pointing at two remote
directories. Either way I get an empty library.

So I do I fix this one?

[and not the answer isn't just to go up a level to musiclib - there is
other stuff there I do not want SC7 to scan]

Thanks
Ceejay
