My music is playing out of two Squeezeboxes on random play for pretty much all of the time. Since 6.5 I've noticed that random play just isn't very random any more. If I break the synchronisation it reverts to its old 6.3 and earlier behaviour, i.e. there obviously is occasional repetition (which is how I like it) but nowhere near as much as when I synchronise the Squeezeboxes.
I have about 14k tracks in my library and log every play on LastFM. Pre 6.5 the top artists logged on LastFM used to have around 30-40 plays. It's now never below 60 and last week was over 200. I can put up with the display issue (although it's not much of a selling point when people visit) but the random play issue is a problem for me. I'm reluctantly coming to the conclusion that the best way to have the same music in different rooms is to forget synchronisation and run extra speaker wire. That would be a real shame as audio synchronisation now seems to work perfectly.
