Thanks KDF, that's very clear indeed. Odd that SC7 scan could fail after it managed to correctly index all my 1574 albums but before scanning any of the artwork?
Unfortunately we had a power cut last night (we've now had them two nights in a row!). SC7 is on a laptop, and the batteries managed to last till the timed small-hours rescan.... as the PC holding my music library was off my SC7 music index was wiped and the logs overwritten. :-( I wonder if it might it be useful for SC7 to supply some sort of "in page" alert if the scan does not complete correctly? I'm also a bit puzzled as to why the SC7 settings logs page provides a printed path to my log files which isn't written as a hypertext link. Oh dear... while I'm at it... wasn't there a nice graphical scan progress thing in SC7 a month ago? Perhaps I imagined it. It's difficult to know if it's best to write into the SC7 default skin design thread or not. I'm aware I has come catching up to do.
