What's the problem with MySQL ?

I thought is was bundled with SlimServer together with all necessary
configuration files for MySQL, so you only have to startup and
configure SlimServer without doing anything special regarding MySQL, or
have I missed something ?

To me the new MySQL solution feels pretty similar to the old SQLite
solution from a user point of view. From a developer point of view the
MySQL solution is a step forward since MySQL has more functionality
than SQLite.
