I've got rid of it now. It was not an account as such. It was more like the fields you have to fill in to add an account (un and pwd) were auto filled with the name Adam and a password.... and I couldn't get rid of them... they kept coming back... When I couldn't get rid of the entries I looked in audioscrobbler.pref, but there was nothing relevent there.
