On Windows XP I have the 12 Jan nightly working with MIP and no issues. Both are running as a service.
I DID have a Windows XP (probably?) issue. Very odd/inconsistent network functionality. It took a windows reboot to clear it up. I THINK that some of the recent security changes weren't all fully applied or something. After the reboot it told me that it had applied updates and everything worked perfectly again.
