That's something some of us have been considering. Not an additional preference, but some way to keep track of the selected player in a more reliable way. Please feel free to add this as an enhancemente request to bugs.slimdevices.com > I just installed today's build and the colorful icons under Internet > Radio and Music Services are back And in the next nightly you should see icons for the music collection as well.
