SC7 runs fine for me with a pretty clean SVN checkout. And it runs fine
with all my plugins installed. But as soon as I try running it with the
"full complement" of plugins[0] it becomes an obscene memory hog. Within
a couple minutes, memory usage is over a gigabyte. If I don't kill the
process in time, of course my whole Linux system becomes pretty darn
unresponsive.

I'd like to find the culprit, but I'm not sure how. Good old strace and
ltrace are nearly useless. What I'd love is some magic command line
switch that would make Perl print the name of every method it invokes
as it's invoked, so I'll have a better shot at finding the problem.

I think the problem is due either to my specific settings, or to some
sort of preference migration problem -- if I delete the SC7 prefs
folder (wipe out any problems) and rename the old SS 6.5.x prefs file
(prevent any pref migration), SC7 seems to come up OK, although it
hasn't finished scanning my music directory yet.

Any suggestions?

-Peter
