I took the lazy way out - wrote a quick python script to rename all cue files to cue1. Not a problem for me as the only reason I even bother with cue files is so my lossless copies can also function as backups of my CDs - and naming a few cue1 files back to cue is pretty trivial - and my CDs are now mostly in boxes... BTW, anyone else want that script? Not sure how to put something up here.
