OK, with the WGU624 back in place, serving as the dhcp server: I can't make the SB3 fail. It always reconnects, in every possible configuration, including bridging to the SC7 pc via a crossover cable. The SB3 just doesn't seem to have any problem with the WGU624's dhcp server.
---------------------------------------------------------- The only odd thing that I'm noticing is that WOL doesn't seem to work with this SB3. I can consistently wake the SC7 pc over the wired network from my windows pc using a magic packet utility. I can even wake the SC7 pc from that wired windows pc when the SC7 pc is connected only through the SB3 bridge via the crossover cable. But the SB3 just doesn't seem to want to wake it up.
