SqueezeCenter 7.0 should be released any day now, so you may as well wait until then. Can't hurt to upgrade today, as things are very stable, but you'll probably then want to do it again whenever it's officially released.
One strategy would be to only upgrade whenever an official release comes out and only install beta releases when they contain either a bug fix for a specific problem that you're having, or a feature that you really want. It's also a good idea to verify that the nightlies are relatively stable.
